Opalcontrol is a Hasselt-based DJ with an intense love for eurotrance, hardhouse and the legendary era of trance, bigroom, house and techno from the 2000s. Everytime Matteo hears the music from that era again, a nostalgic feeling overwhelms him. This is exactly what he wants to create with his own music, but with the sounds of today. You will hear influences from both the iconic tracks of that time and the modern tracks of today.
From an early age, Matteo was captivated by the magic of EDM,
especially in 2009-2017, when these styles reached their peak. At13, he began spinning and producing, driven by the desire to transmit that same magical feeling he experienced himself to his audience. When he spins or plays his music, he wants it to feel as if the listeners remain forever enchanted.
