Celebrate friendship with something truly one-of-a-kind: matching or complementary pendants you carve yourself! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to transform a chunk of wax into meaningful BFF jewelry that will be professionally cast in metal. The class includes group demos and plenty of one-on-one instruction. No need to bring anything—just arrive on time with your ideas and your bestie (or make a new one in class)! You’ll be guided through the basics of wax carving, including designing, sawing, shaping, and texturing. Demos will cover using hand tools, heated tools, and different wax types to bring your vision to life. You will create two pendants with interlocking shapes, or mirrored designs. Some ideas: Half-and-half hearts or tablets Initials or symbols with shared meaning After the workshop, Dante will cast your pendants in her studio and give them a professional polish. Finished pieces can be picked up at CAE or shipped directly to you. Whether you're creating a sweet gift or a forever keepsake for you and your ride-or-die, you'll leave with two sculpted wax pendants ready to become lasting symbols of your connection. Workshop fee includes one brass casting of each pendant. Students may opt to cast in sterling silver or 14K goldfor an additional materials fee (based on the wax weight of the finished pieces), payable directly to the instructor before receiving the final pendants.
