Caduceus, the Doctors' Band originated in 1989 by physicians in Springfield, Missouri. It now includes some of the original physicians plus other professionals. In addition to playing music.

All proceeds from performances go to providing scholarships for nursing education.
The band is listed with the State of Missouri as Springfield Music Foundation, Inc., as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
