About this Event
CPMF kicks off its summer Festival season in San Antonio July 7 and 8, and in Boerne, July 9, 2023, and runs through Saturday, July 15.
Over the two-week festival at Trinity Baptist Church, you'll hear the 4 festival programs and 15 phenomenal musicians with an arc of programming that will be world-class from start to finish. On Sunday July 9 at 3pm, we are in Boerne, Texas, at First United Methodist Church for Program 2, "It's An Old Story Made New," a passionate program exploring the interconnected lives of Robert Schumann, Clara Wieck Schmann, and Johannes Brahms through their letters, diary entries, songs and instrumental works.

Artistic Director Jeffrey Sykes in week two is joined by violinists Stephanie Sant'Ambrogio & Ellen dePasquale, violists Katarzyna Bryla & Carol Cook, cellists Beth Rapier & Anthony Ross, with a special appearance by composer John Wineglass whose newly commissioned work "And the summer was over" for piano quintet will be premiered in San Antonio at the final festival concert.
