About this Event

CACN Training: Getting Value from Evaluation
9 July, 1000–1630, Carlisle Youth Zone, Lunch Included

A gentle introduction to why and how you can evaluate the impact of your work, in a way which benefits your own practice as well as satisfying the needs of funders.

Who’s it for?

Anyone who would like to develop tools to identify the impacts of their work, and be able to reflect on how their practice could develop further. Learn how to evaluate anything from a one-off event to an organisation’s entire programme.

What’s the content?

- explore the purpose and value of evaluation

- discover the principles of good evaluation practice

- understand how to create a simple evaluation framework

- look at the pros and cons of a variety of evaluation methods

- take away tips about how to embed and improve your evaluation practice, and links to further reading and resources

Trainer: recently completed evaluation of the Helping Hands inclusive volunteering programme in Cumbria, and works as an evaluation consultant with Cumbria Museum Consortium and Rosehill Theatre. She has been a freelance consultant working across the museums, arts and heritage sector since 2007. She has carried out a large number of project evaluations, for everything from small heritage projects to the Cultural Olympiad.

Refunds:

Refunds are on a case-by case basis, but CACN’s general policy is: we are unable to offer a refund unless we can re-sell your ticket. Eventbrite’s fees are non-refundable. Any refund requests must be received 1 day prior to the event, emails will not be monitored outside working hours.

Who do we offer training to?

CACN’s programme of training, events and workshops are offered to artists, freelancers, arts organisations and others involved in the art, cultural and heritage sector who live or work in Cumbria.
