About this Event
Hello, you're cordially invited to attend CACE21's February 2024 Black Homeowner Dinner. The dinner is a great chance to connect with Black homeowners and learn about new legislation being passed that will affect your ability to keep your home. Delicious food will be served and we plan to start our event with another round of Black Jeopardy, so plan to arrive early - individual cash prizes will be awarded to members of the winning team. The theme for the dinner is Black Homeowners as Policymakers. We will discuss drafting our own tax exemptions, City of Seattleās Draft Comprehensive Plan, and actionable steps for civic engagement. Please join us! To learn more about CACE21 please visit www.wanawari.org/CACE21 .
The dinner will be hosted at Byrd Barr Place (formerly CAMP Firehouse). The Byrd Barr Place building was recently renovated. Those of you who spent time at CAMP over the years will be excited to see what they have done and how it can continue to serve our community. Byrd Barr Place is now under the leadership of Executive Director Dr. Angela Griffin , who is thrilled to meet community members and share more about what is happening with the organization. We hope to see you there!
