Ecstatic Dance is a practice of free-form dance, and encourages us to show up AS WE ARE. We follow the impulses of the body and spirit to move with the music, however the music moves you! There may be swaying, shaking, bouncing, crawling, clapping, stomping, and anything that feels right in the moment. Cacao is a heart-opening plant medicine that allows us to soften into the subtleties of our experience, and opens us up to more connection and love. Together the cacao and dance work beautifully to create deeper connection to yourself and to your community.
We will dance to a wave of music, meaning we will slowly warm up, build to a peak, come down and unwind, stretch it out and find stillness to integrate at the end. There will also be a closing circle to share and reflect on the experience.

All are welcome! Dance barefoot or in socks. Wear something you are comfortable moving in, layers are recommended for our opening and closing circle.
