About this Event
Essentially chocolate in its raw, purest form, cacao is derived from the seeds (also known as cacao beans) that come from the pods of the Theobroma cacao fruit tree. It has been consumed for thousands of years; it has a range of benefits from better heart health and blood pressure, anti-aging properties and and increase in brain function. It has also been consumed for stress relief and relaxation, and also to heal and detoxify the mind, body and spirit.
In this Cacao Ceremony, you’ll be guided by Kelly, one of our teaching team and qualified cacaoist and journey through two hours of relaxation, surrender, exploration and calm. The practice will begin with a relaxation and grounding exercise, time to relax and set an intention should you wish. You’ll then be invited to consume your cacao slowly and mindfully, noticing physical and mental effects. Once consumed, you’ll be taken on a guided meditation and a sound healing journey. The ceremony will be closed with grounding fruits and nibbles. At this point, you’ll have to opportunity to speak to Kelly about your experience (or if you have any questions), or simply enjoy the final part of the relaxation session.
This ceremony is for anyone: whether you have been to a cacao ceremony or not, have a spiritual practice or simply are looking for a new way to explore relaxation.
Everything for the event will be provided, however, here are a list of items you may wish to bring:
- a blanket and/or pillow
- water
- journal and pen
- anything meaningful/intentional
- eye mask
Wear clothing that you find most confortable. Yoga mats provided.
