Hello! My name is Tahira Bacus. I have been guided to host a Cacao and Bobinsana Heart Opening Ceremony companied by a Cord Cutting Ritual on a Full Moon in my backyard.
The Full Moon is about release and closure; releasing what no longer serves you and closing that chapter behind you. The Full Moon is a time for reflection, discernment, compassion, and forgiveness. It is a time to for reflection on our lives - the feelings we have felt, the thoughts we have thought, the actions we have taken - and determining what we have learned about them - what lessons will we take with us, and what we will leave behind. It is a time for holding space for showing ourselves compassion. Far too often we show others compassion without thinking twice if we are showing it to ourselves. Lastly, it is a time for showing forgiveness to ourselves, forgiving ourselves for the things we thought about ourselves and others, for how we have treated ourselves and others, for what we prevent ourselves from feeling, and for what we have made other people feel.
Cacao is a ceremonial hot cocoa sacrament indigenous to Peru. It's used for opening your heart. We are meant to navigate life from our heart space. Our heart is where all of our feelings are felt and where our wisdom is stored.
Bobinsana is a plant also indigenous to Peru. It is used in Shamanic practices as a heart-opening and heart-healing herb. The spirit of this plant has been known to comfort those experiencing loss, grief, and heartbreak. It can increase compassion and receptivity to spiritual guides. Bobinsana is a Master Teacher Plant.
I am hosting this event in my backyard. I envision it as I have a small bonfire in my backyard. And whoever should feel called to come will sit around the fire with me as I serve you cacao and bobinsana. We can discuss things, I can throw some music on for some ecstatic dance, or you can sit in silent, you are also free to bring a yoga mat or blankets and just lie in stillness and breathe. If I should feel called to do any light language activations or reiki, then I will.
I will lead a guided meditation for visual/energetic cord cutting or you can choose to do a physical cord cutting by throwing something in the fire (preferably paper - I'll see if I can get a hold of some organic paper.)
