This year we will be offering the following full-day workshop choices:
Workshop 1: Pressed Flower Fun!
Flowers have pressed for thousands of years to preserve their beauty. Workshop participants will learn to press flowers using traditional and a more modern technique that offers instant gratification! And then we’ll create a variety of pressed flower crafts and works of art together including jar lanterns, greeting cards, ornaments, gift tags, bookmarks, and framed flowers. All of the supplies you’ll need to create your masterpieces will be provided including: pressed flowers, Mod Podge, 2 small paint brushes, craft tweezers, 2 jars for lanterns, 1 glass and metal frame (4x6 or 6x6), 4 gift tags, ribbon, packing tape, 6 greeting cards with envelopes and 2 clear ornaments.
Cost: $65.00
Instructor: Ellen Oiler
Workshop 2: Milk Bread and Biscotti
Japanese Milk Bread: Often referred to as Hokkaido milk bread, this is an incredibly soft and airy bread based on a simple technique involving a "roux' starter that is mixed into the final dough.
Almond Biscotti: Biscotti often seems like a challenge to bake, but if you can shape a meatloaf and slice a loaf of bread, you have all the skills that you need to make delicious and beautiful biscotti.
Cost: $62.00
Instructors: Carole Geary and Maryellen Mross
Workshop 3: Quilling
Clear away the Cabing Fever blues as we learn basic (to advanced) quilling techniques as we create cards highlighting Snowdrop Flowers & Crocuses to welcome the upcoming warmer season.
