Join us for our first ever Plant Swap! Let's face it, by the end of January we are all going to have a touch of cabin fever and be ready to be around new plant babies again. Start propagating now so you have time for your plants to root. Cutting swapping is also encouraged if you have a lack of propagation space. We will have a tent setup outside for outdoor plant swaps as well. Rules of the Swap:
1. Bring Healthy Plants: Don't bring plants that are diseased or have pests present
2. Exchange plants: The general rule is to bring one plant and leave with one, but this can vary. Rarer plants are more valuable and may be traded for more
3. Be prepared to negotiate: Some negotiation may be required to reach a fair trade
4. Bring a variety of items: You can bring plants, cuttings, or plant accessories like pots, planters, scissors, and hangers
5. Label plants: Nothing worse than getting home only to realize you forgot the plant name in all of the excitement. If you are a plant seller feel free to add your business name or social media page to you plant label
6. Bring a Wagon: If you have multiple plants to swap it will be easier for you to navigate with a wagon. We will have a manned wagon parking area so you can browse hands free
7. Healthy Cuttings: If you are bringing cuttings, wrap the ends in a moist paper towel or sphagnum moss or in a container of water that can be given with the cutting
8. Have Fun!
There will also be "Free" table where you can donate items for others to take for free. If you're donating plants, please label them individually for easy sorting.
We will have another Plant Swap during the warmer months but wanted to try a smaller rollout so we know what to expect for a larger event. If you have questions please send us a PM :)
