About this Event
Cabernet Sauvignon is a grape variety that happened by chance in a field in Bordeaux only a couple centuries ago. Since then, though, it has taken the world by storm!
Besides many Cabernet Sauvignon-focussed wines being included in the 1855 Classification of Bordeaux for the Paris Exposition, California burst onto the international wine scene in 1976 with its own Cabs at the Judgement of Paris tasting that year, showing that wine outside the Old World is worthy of drinking, too!
Tonight, experience the taste of Cabernet Sauvignon from around the world, and learn why this happy accidental crossing of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc is considered one of the great grapes of the world!
