What good is sitting alone in your room? Come to “Cabaret,” the best movie musical of all time (Forbes) at UCPAC’s Main Stage!
Join us for this 35mm screening of the 1972 classic film that won eight Academy Awards, including Best Director (Bob Fosse), Best Actress (Liza Minnelli as Sally Bowles), and Best Supporting Actor (Joel Grey as the Master of Ceremonies).
Set in Germany in 1931, “Cabaret” tells the story of Bowles, an American singer performing at Berlin’s glittering Kit Kat Klub while the world outside grows increasingly bleak with the rise of the Nazi regime. With dazzling music and unforgettable performances, “Cabaret” portrays how entertainment can be an escape, if only momentarily, even in the darkest of times.
Enjoy a cocktail and a Kit Kat Klub photo op in our lobby. Come in costume as your favorite showgirl or the MC, or come as you are; in here, life is beautiful, and so are you.
Rated R. This 35mm presentation of “Cabaret” is part of the I. Joseph Hyatt Classic Film Series.
