About the Presentation
Inspired by the Palace of Fine Art at the Saint Louis Worldโ€™s Fair, Coy Avon Seward (1884-1939) decided to pursue a life devoted to art. With little opportunity for formal training, the Kansas native became a commercial artist, teacher, mentor, and advocate. A founding member of the Prairie Print Makers, he was determined to make a place for art on the plains. Join Laura Taylor, Exhibitions and Engagement Director at Mark Arts, in exploring the life, art, and legacy of C.A. Seward.
