*Attention all Players and Members*GOCC is hosting Bystander Training at Lewin Road.
Bystander Intervention Training is to combat gender-based violence, partnering with organizations like the NWG Network to train people on recognizing harm, understanding laws, and safely intervening to create a safer cricket environment, focusing on prevention and supporting a positive experience for all.
Key Aspects of Bystander Training in Northants Cricket:
Focus on Prevention: Training aims to prevent sexual violence and gender-based harm within the cricket community.
Curriculum: Covers topics such as the "pyramid of harm," the Sexual Offences Act, intervention techniques (the 5Ds: Direct, Distract, Delegate, Delay, Document), and effective communication.
Goal: To increase awareness and confidence for people to become active bystanders, supporting a safer environment for women and girls in sport.
