In this festival keynote gala, a line-up of literary heavyweights will respond to the 2024 Byron Writers Festival theme of ‘from the ground up’.What drives change? Where do big things start? From grass roots activism and people-powered movements that strive to remake a more equal society, to rewilding a forest from seeds, remarkable things begin from the smallest beginnings. In the words of Nelson Mandela, it always seems impossible until it’s done.
