About this Event

Get started growing food at home with The Patio Farmer this spring! Join Farmer Erin for an interactive class and planting session on Saturday, May 11 as part of Circular Saturdays, an event series hosted by the Innovation Barn.

Farmer Erin, Owner of The Patio Farmer, will share tips and information on how to grow herbs at home with success, no matter what size space you have. We will cover everything from sunlight to soil to harvesting in this class, plus have time to answer all your burning questions for growing food at home.

You'll have a chance to plant your very own crops to take home with you! Be sure to "bring your own pot" (noting specifications below) and Farmer Erin will supply soil, seeds, seedlings, and plant tags for planting.

NOTE: Your registration fee covers up to THREE Certified Organic herbs / seed selections at the event.

Farmer Erin will also be doing a planting demonstration during class which will be "raffled" off to attendees!

BYOP Specifications: As you're picking out the best pot to bring to class, keep these specifications in mind. Farmer Erin will have grow bags available for purchase during class if you'd like to use one from her stash!

  • 8" Pot = Home for 1-2 plants
  • 12" Pot = Home for 2-3 plants
  • 18" Pot = Home for 3-4 plants

The Patio Farmer will have vegetable and herb seedlings available for purchase at the market as well! Bring a friend, bring a pot, and let's get planting!
