Register through tickets link.*If you have a funky piece of glassware in your house and you've always thought "that would make a great terrarium," this workshop is for you! Bring your own glass vessel approximately 1/2-1 gallon/ 2-4 liters in size. If you don't have random glassware laying around, we will also have a selection of thrifted vessels available for purchase starting at $5, based on vessel size and uniqueness. Learn the basics of constructing and caring for a closed-system tropical terrarium, and creatively style your project to complement the unique shape of your glassware. The course fee includes a terrarium building booklet, terrarium substrate and soil for the base, sheet moss, two terrarium plants, decorative rocks and gravel, and a few fun decorative terrarium critters to inhabit your creation. The fee does NOT include glassware, so be sure to bring a vessel or it will be an additional fee for the glassware of your choice. Participants may choose to add on a set of tools and an extra plant for an additional cost.
Class participants will receive 10% off any purchases after the class. Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase tools after the class for later delivery.
Participants in this class must be age 8 or older, and should have reasonable dexterity in handling tools such as tweezers and scissors for building the terrarium. Participants under the age of 18 must attend with a parent or adult caretaker, although they may share a registration and can work on one terrarium together. (Please select "Adult Companion for <18 Participant" as an option so we know to set out an extra chair.) Adults attending in pairs may also work on a terrarium together with the purchase of a second seat to cover instruction fees (no supplies).
Cancellations must be communicated a minimum of 48 hours prior to class time. All cancellations with at least 48 hours notice will receive a full refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice and no-shows will not be refunded.
