Alexandra Brown Chang is coming to Lovestruck Books to celebrate her stunning debut novel, !
This dazzling young adult drama follows a hardworking teen determined to win a college scholarship and a “nepo baby” out to prove herself—two very different girls whose worlds collide at the most prestigious debutante ball in Paris.
Alexandra Brown Chang will be joined by Boston-based influencer Kira Kirby for a lively conversation about the novel’s themes of ambition, identity, and growing up in the spotlight. Together, they'll explore how Alexandra crafted characters full of humor, heart, and high fashion.

Tickets are limited, so grab yours soon! If the event sells out, you can join the waitlist. Should any spots open up, you’ll have 24 hours to register before we offer them to the next person.
ACCESSIBILITY
Check-in will take place at our front entrance on Brattle Street. If you have any accessibility needs, you're welcome to use our side entrance (located on the right side of the building), which is wheelchair accessible and has a ramp.
Guests who would benefit from priority seating or any additional assistance are encouraged to reach out in advance — just email us at [email protected]. We're more than happy to make arrangements to ensure you feel comfortable and supported.

BOOK PICKUP POLICY
If you purchased a book with your event ticket but can’t make it to the event—and don’t request a refund—we’ll happily hold your book for pickup for up to 6 months after the event date.
We’ll be in touch via the email you provided at checkout to help coordinate pickup. After 6 months, if we haven’t heard from you or made other arrangements, we’ll consider the book abandoned property and may donate it or return it to inventory so it can find a new home.

ABOUT THE ALEXANDRA BROWN CHANG
Alexandra Brown Chang grew up in Los Angeles, in a family of four daughters and four rescue dogs. She graduated from Stanford University, where she majored in art history. Alexandra is also a member of the Princess Grace Foundation Guild, which champions emerging artists in all fields. By Invitation Only is her debut novel.

Being wealthy, royal, or famous gets you into the pool of potential debutantes, but only La Danse decides who is truly worthy of attending.
Chapin Buckingham, the daughter of two Hollywood legends, is one of the lucky few chosen to attend. Chapin’s not usually a society girl, but she has her reasons for wanting to be crowned Debutante of the Year. Her chances seem good…until a fellow debutante creates a PR nightmare that has the eat-the-rich cohort calling for La Danse’s cancellation.
Enter Piper Woo Collins. ABOUT THE KIRA KIRBY
Kira has built a name for herself as the internet’s go-to jewellery expert. Living between Boston and London, she’s mastered trans-Atlantic chic, with a digital presence as polished as the diamonds she reviews.
She rose to popularity with her viral “unique engagement rings you wouldn’t find on your high school bully” series, gaining a loyal following of over 230K on TikTok. While jewellery remains at the heart of her brand, Kira’s content reflects the full picture: beauty, skincare, fitness, and even the behind-the-scenes of her personal life on how to make a long-distance relationship work.
Now, Kira is evolving from reviewer to collaborator - bringing her eye for design into the spotlight. She’s currently co-creating a ring with Four Words, marking her first step into jewellery design. Her partnerships with brands like Patrick Ta, The Clear Cut, The Diamond Store, and 77 Diamonds have taken her beyond content into creative collaboration, with invitations to top trade shows in Italy and Geneva cementing her place in the industry.
