Special presentation of the Natrona County Historical Society featuring eyewitness accounts of female survivors of the 1864 raids on the Oregon and Overland-California Trails around the Laramie Mountain Range. Join Janelle Molony and Kylie Louise McCormick, historians and co-authors of the new release, Emigrant Tales of the Platte River Raids, as they dive into the critical role of female diarists as compelling storytellers and key witnesses to the events.
Special guest, (TBA), is a descendant-relative of Fanny Kelly, who survived the attack at Little Box Elder Creek. Molony is a descendant of emigrant-diarist, Sarah Rousseau, who was on the Overland Trail during the events. Book signing to follow.
