About Nicole Mazon
Nicole has her own photography business, and is also HDG’s in-house photographer and drafter. Based in Redwood City, she loves exploring fitness, music, art and spending time with her husband, daughter and two dogs. A graduate of the New York Institute of Art + Design, she holds a certificate in Interior Design.
“Living in the moment and capturing just that is what I love about taking pictures. One of my greatest joys in doing what I love is meeting such wonderful people. Everyone I have met along this journey has challenged me in such creative ways I would not have been able to do alone. There isn't just one sole definition of what can be found beautiful and unique. It's in your heart. It's what moves you. It's what you feel. It's just you.”Of the Homesic collection, she says - “If you were born and raised in The Bay- you know things have changed. Our neighborhoods and downtowns are practically unrecognizable. The cost of living has become astronomical. In consequence of this change, a lot of Bay Area natives have cut their roots and packed up to plant them out of state. “We’re moving” became the phrase on repeat. We’d hear it at work, the places we shop, from our neighbors, friends and family. While people were moving, our hometowns were continuing to change, so we began photographing what nostalgia was left before getting torn down and replaced. After the fifth person we had to say goodbye to and another last meal at a longtime favorite restaurant closing down - we decided to create something with our photos and with that came Homesic.”

About Liz Broekhuyse
Born in Australia and a resident of the Bay Area for close to ten years, Liz is a busy creative who always has a few too many projects on the go. As a freelance graphic designer she supports HDG and other clients, while her work as a fashion designer, painter, and textile artist keeps her busy nights and weekends exploring creative flights of fancy.
“My art is a blend of all the different disciplines I work across. You’ll find elements of storytelling, textiles, graphic simplification, and painterly blobs. It’s an avenue to create things that I could never get away with in my professional work - being goofy, taking forever to make something, experimenting without a clear goal, and sharing my own personal stories and interests.”
You can find more of Liz’s work on her website and Instagram.
