Annie Young began her working life as a qualified primary teacher with a Primary Teachers Certificate (TPTC) and later upgraded to Batchelor of Education in Library Studies. Apart from working as a teacher librarian in local schools for many years Annie has been prolific in writing stories about her own and others’ lives.

Her weekly column ‘Young at Heart’ featured in the Bendigo Advertiser was syndicated throughout their networks. This led to publication of an anthology featuring her articles and named, in part, for her column ‘Young at Heart. A Slice of Social History’. Her opinion pieces have been published in newspapers and magazines throughout Australia but it’s the personal stories that she finds most engaging.
Annie has conducted a series of workshops for people to interested in exploring ways of telling their own stories. During this workshop she will provide guidelines useful to writing autobiographical work.
Bring pens and paper and be inspired to write your own story.
