Make friends, hear jokes, win lollipops!
Everyone in attendance is invited to introduce themselves, and tell a joke, but are welcome to just watch and listen. We'll tell jokes either in a circle, or if lots of participants make it out, in the order that people sign in with event organizers. Once everyone has had a turn to tell a joke, everyone gets a chance to tell a second, and then third joke. Once all those interested have a chance to tell 3 jokes everyone votes on the best joke. The person who told the winning joke wins a lollipop (if we get sponsors the prize will be whatever the sponsor provides, & a lollipop). After that anyone who would like to do a 5 minute stand up routine, or story will be given the chance.

COST:
Free! Tickets are just because the website requires them, feel free to come without one!
WHERE:
Celebration Square Amphitheatre, or just next to the amphitheater under the roof if it rains, or someone rents out the amphitheater for an event (our current budget is spent on the lollipops).
WHEN:
Every Monday at 7pm except for holidays.
RULES:
Be nice.
Family friendly jokes only if children are in attendance.
Jokes may be from anywhere including the internet, books, media, etc,...
Dad jokes may be judged by the amount of groans achieved instead of by the amounts of laughs.
WHY:
TO LAUGH!!!
To make friends, to meet neighbors, to have a social event everyone can participate in no matter their physical, or financial needs. To have a central social event easy walking (or rolling) distance from the Mississauga bus station.TO HAVE FUN!!!
FUTURE PLANS:
We would like to grow this event to the size that it qualifies for sponsorship and grants in order to rent out an indoor location (the lecture hall in the Central Library), and rent a PA system. The initial tool we will have to prove community interest will be the sign-in sheet, so please sign in.
