Good news, I'm expanding the idea of the 'parkride' social rides on the BVRT to include Esk on the fourth Saturday of every month. Please note early start time of 6.00 am to beat the heat.
This free community, social bike ride is inspired by the idea of the parkrun and putting it on wheels.
Meet in the Lars Andersen Place carpark (EV car charging available) just next to the Esk Bakery. Ride at your own pace for one hour from Esk on the BVRT towards Toogoolawah and then ride back (we'll alternate each month between riding north and riding south). Trail surface is good and there are no gullies. We'll finish with very social coffee and a bite to eat in Brisbane Valley Roasters as we arrive back in Esk.
This is purely a social ride so you participate entirely at your own risk.
Why one hour? Because it's well within everyone's capability and it caters for different levels of ability. Just ride as far as you can in one hour at a comfortable pace, them ride back. A two hour bike ride is just the thing to clear the cobwebs (quite literally at that time of the morning) and set you up for a great weekend. 🙂
I'll look forward to seeing you there. Please click on Going if you plan to join us so I have some idea of numbers.
