This event is perfect for beginners or anyone eager to take their first steps into the fascinating world of bees. The course will consist of 2 sessions; classroom and apiary.

🐝 Expert Presentations: Learn from local beekeeping experts on essential topics, including:
- Getting Started in Beekeeping: Site Selection and Installing Bees – Josh Cox
- Rules and Regulations – Bry Roberson, State Bee Inspector
- Beekeeping Tools – Lori Hart
- Biology, Pest, and Diseases - Bry Roberson, State Bee Inspector
- Sustainable Beekeeping: Making Increases (Splits) – Myron Beachy
🐝 Essential Resources: Attendees will receive a binder with valuable information, copies of all presentations, and space to take notes.
🐝 Lunch Included: Enjoy a lunch provided by Firehouse Subs as part of this fun and educational day. Please include sandwich preference when registering; ham, turkey or veggie.
🐝 Apiary Tour: Gear up and join an experienced beekeeper for a hands-on hive inspection at our apiary, weather permitting. See the bees up close and learn their secrets! Rules for apiary tour:
All participants must have a signed waiver. Wear appropriate attire - bee suit/jacket, bee veil, bee/garden style gloves, long pants, long sleeves, socks and closed toe and heel shoes. Limited amount of club veils available, FCFS. Do not wear cologne/perfume/body sprays.
