Buy Nothing Market + The Abundance Project Food Share

This is an outdoor event.
At this Buy Nothing Market, we especially invite you to bring food to share, or take home what your family needs. In addition, bring (or find!) gifts, home goods, and treasures in time for the Buy Nothing Holiday Challenge.
No questions, no cost, just community.
We will take leftover food and winter gear to local organizations.
This event is a Buy Nothing gifting event, to be hosted at Gethsemane Church parking lot (next to Alice Smith on Highway 7/Minnetonka Mills, just west of 169).
All are welcome to join, see all of our treasures and take home whatever you please - absolutely free! Even if you don't want more stuff, come meet our local Buy Nothing group community.
All giving is good giving!
*For Gifters:*
• Please arrive before the event to set up, so you are not driving while people are walking around.
• *Pack It In/Pack It Out* - You are in charge of removing anything you bring to the event that isn't gifted. You are welcome to make arrangements with a neighbor to take your belongings along with their own.
• People may display gifts in their trunk, or on tables and picnic blankets. You are not required to bring stuff in order to take stuff, nor is there a limit your gifts received, or anything where there are strings attached. If you are gifting,
• We recommend putting a sheet over anything in your trunk you are not intending to gift.
• Consider bringing anything that might make you comfortable during the event. Lawn chair, sunscreen, water, snacks, etc.
• Have a plan for your gifts after the event. If you are intending to take them to a donation center, check the hours. If you intend to take the gifts home and list them in Buy Nothing, you might want to take pictures while you are at the event. If you need someone to take your extra gifts with theirs, make arrangements ahead of time.
• Please feel free to preview some of your gifts in the event or your local BNP group that you are bringing to the event! Especially if you do it in the couple of days prior, it helps people know what to look for if they’re looking for anything in particular, and reminds people we have an event coming up.

*Unable to Attend?*
As always, if the date/time don’t work for you, anyone is welcome to arrange and host a gifting event. The only rule for hosting Buy Nothing gifting events is that people can not be required to bring gifts or limit how many gifts they receive by how many they bring (that would be a swap and gets into sticky legal situations we are trying to avoid, but more importantly is contrary to our mission of “no strings attached“).
