This Family Book Club event is an engaging and educational series designed for families with children ages 10 and up. The event features the award-winning historical fiction story "Freewater" by Amina Luqman-Dawson, which explores themes of enslavement and freedom. This event promises to be a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, enjoy a compelling story, and participate in enriching activities.

Participants will also be able to enjoy the historic Button Farm--Maryland’s only living history center depicting 19th-century plantation life.
