
About this Event
Button Farm, situated on 40 acres inside Seneca Creek State Park in Germantown, Maryland, depicts 19th-century plantation life in Maryland. Our tour will include the historic outbuildings, museum garden, and heritage breed animals, along with hands-on activities and examinations of artifacts and tools. You will also learn how self-liberating enslaved persons found food, protection, direction, and shelter during their harrowing journey to freedom.
Button Farm is closed to the general public on this day. ONLY tour attendees will be at the farm.
Please dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes.
Admission: $10, includes guided tour. Pay when you register below.
