About this Event
An introduction to preparing and preserving lepidoptera.
This class is designed for beginners that want to learn how to pin butterflies and moths. You will practice rehydrating techniques, correct handling, and spreading your own specimens. We will discuss how to sustainably source insects, proper storage, and demo how to tackle degreasing.
June 3rd 2pm-4pm
The class includes: your own pinning board, 5 specimens, pinning forceps, glassine paper, and pins to spread your specimens.
An intimate learning environment with only 4 students per class. Reserve your ticket HERE.
Must be 18 or a guardian must take the class alongside the youth participant. Please email with questions before booking.
Class is 2 hours.
Class fee is $200
