We invite you to join Dr. Skye Bruce for an engaging look at the butterflies that call Wisconsin home. From the monarchs that migrate thousands of miles to lesser-known species tied closely to our prairies and woodlands, butterflies tell powerful stories about the health of our ecosystems. This talk will explore their life cycles, habitat needs, and the conservation challenges they face while highlighting how each of us can play a role in supporting their survival.
Dr. Bruce earned her PhD in Entomology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with a research focus on butterfly conservation and ecology in Wisconsin’s protected and pastured grasslands.
Conservation on Tap is a FREE presentation series by experts on various aspects of Driftless area ecology and conservation. The goal of the series is to increase knowledge, connection to, and awareness of current conservation efforts and research.
