What is The Butterfly Bash?
The Butterfly Bash is the biggest adults-only blowout event of the year for the Mariposa Parents Community - we gather for a night of food, drink, fun, and giving to something meaningful! There is a silent auction, a live auction, class art projects to bid on, some ridiculous MCing, an open bar, amazing food, and a lot of camaraderie! This year’s Butterfly Bash will be on Saturday, April 15th from 6 to 9 p.m.
Why raise money for the MPC?
The Mariposa Parents Community is a non-profit that is constantly looking for ways to enhance the community of Mariposa. We are parents who love the school and what it does for our children. We decide together how to spend funds raised - campus projects, guide appreciation events and gifts, gardening projects for our children to grow, scholarships for our students, and more. The Butterfly Bash is our main source of funds for the entire year in order to give back to the school in these meaningful ways.
How Can I Help?
For the auctions and raffle, wouldn’t you love to have some really inspiring prizes to bid on and win? Wouldn’t it be fun if those prizes were from businesses you love? And if they were for things you really need or want? We’d like to invite you to do something beautiful for our community and yourself – we are looking for contributions (with a tax write off!) from local and regional individuals and businesses to make this Butterfly Bash even more exciting and successful than ever.
Do you know a person or business that would love to support a growing community like ours, while building their brand name and potentially reaching new customers? On the back side of this page you will find a donation form. Feel free to make copies if you know of more than one business that might be interested! We can also send you the form digitally to send out. Give it to businesses you love or think fit well with the philosophy of our community. Also, please consider filling it out yourself. No gift is too small, and it doesn’t have to be a monetary contribution—if you have a special skill, talent, or professional service you could donate to the silent auction, we would welcome it!
The target date to collect all donations is Saturday, April 8th, 2023, though we may still be able to accept donations after that. In return for their generosity, we’ll make sure to give donating businesses special verbal recognition during the event’s festivities and feature their business in our printed program.

Class Baskets!
Your child’s room parent will approach you shortly (if he/she hasn't already!) about a class basket. There will be a theme for the basket, and parents are requested to contribute something that loosely fits within that theme. These are frequently some of the highest-ticket items - right after our class art projects!
