About this Event
Imagine, being blessed with a light so bright you can't help but share it with others. But First, I Thank Myself is an event that acknowledges the weight it is to be present for the world and how important it is to say thank you to your damn self. But First, I Thank Myself is a mindful art experience designed to help you slow down and thank yourself for just being you.
Hosted by Layla Clark, Art Therapist and Founder of I Love, Love, this gathering blends mindfulness, creativity, and love. We’ll begin by listening to a guided meditation made exclusively for this event by Amber Magic, inviting you to breathe deeply, release the noise of the world, and affirm your presence with tenderness.
Afterward, you’ll move into an open studio-style art process — a gentle space to express, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. You are welcome to create quietly on your own or share space with others. This evening is an invitation to remember that rest, gratitude, and creation are powerful forms of self-love.

To protect the intention of this gathering, we ask that every participant agree to the following norms:
This is a Brave Space.
We ask participants to show up with the intention to be brave enough to push past their comfort, while maintaining safety.
You are responsible for your safety and presence.
We ask you to advocate for what you need emotionally, physically, and energetically. Honor your limits. Honor your boundaries. Honor your pace.
We practice consent with ourselves and each other.
This includes choosing how you engage, whether you speak or stay silent, create alone or with others. You have permission to take up space and permission to rest.
We ask your permission to welcome you into this space.
By registering, you are saying “yes” to being intentionally present,
A yes to slowing down.
A yes to gratitude.
A yes to love.
A Note From Facilitator: Layla
I know I am in need of an intentional space to reset, replenish, and just be. I am curating this space out of that need, and it is my hope that it resonates with you and/or someone you know to come connect, create, and share love.
