Foam Presents: Busty and The Bass w/ just announced support from ACQUA MOSSA[Busty and The Bass]
Busty and the Bass spent a decade evolving from an instrumental campus party band to an internationally renowned group, culminating in their 2020 release of "Eddie" on Arts & Crafts. The album, a fusion of 50 years of soul, funk, and jazz, features contributions from legends like George Clinton and Macy Gray, and was produced by GRAMMY® Award-winner Neal Pogue. Meeting at McGill University, the multinational band built their reputation through relentless performances, including festivals like Made In America and 2Q Festival. After releasing two EPs and their 2017 debut, "Uncommon Good," the band took a break to carefully craft "Eddie," marking their first time writing fully developed songs. The album explores themes of heartbreak, growth, and maturity, balancing emotional honesty with psychedelic funk. Guest appearances include Amber Navran on "Clouds" and rappers Illa J and Jon Connor on "Go So Far," adding to the album's genre-spanning diversity. Busty and the Bass have created a cohesive, boundary-pushing work that blends old-school funk with modern vulnerability, aiming to bring joy and leave listeners with a smile.

Acqua Mossa is a trio born of deep rooted relationships and a hunger for the unconventional. The group’s influences are broad ranging; a quality felt in the spectrum of their emotional, synth heavy compositions, intimate and charged storytelling, and groove inspired underbelly. While much of their recent work has been centered around an upcoming debut album, their live shows are an engaging and genre-bending experience which often features sit-ins and guest appearances.
