Buskers’ Banquet combines the best of Bristol’s independent food and performing arts scene to create an amazing festival celebrating delicious flavours and incredible music.**What to expect:**
- A unique evening showcasing the best of Bristol’s food and music scene.
- A delicious, bespoke two-course meal from Bristol’s most impressive culinary talents selected from All About the Cooks, followed by two live acoustic performances from Bristol-based musicians.
Driven by the mission to make it easy to eat ‘real food made by real people’, All About The Cooks is an online marketplace for talented, trusted home-cooks to sell their delicious home-made food to local people.
**The Menu:**
Main course (meat): Slow cooked lamb leg meat served on warm hummus masabaha, with grilled Turkish green chilli stuffed with lamb mince. All served on a flatbread with an onion and sumac salad, drizzled with tahina and garnished with parsley, coriander and a lemon pickle.
**OR**
Vegan main: grilled aubergine served with grilled tomatoes and onions, fresh chilli and coriander, drizzled with tahina and amba (mango) sauce, served on a flatbread. Both dishes contain gluten, sesame (GF flatbread available.)
Dessert: Sticky ginger cake
**The Chefs:**
Tomer Darzi: Your main course has been prepared by Tomer, who prepares delicious Middle-Eastern food from his home in Bishopston. Growing up in Tel Aviv, Tomer was surrounded by family who knew how to make the most of the incredible local ingredients, and found inspiration from cuisines from a variety of background. Iraqi from his dad’s side of the family, Yemeni, Turkish – from his mum’s side – as well as Persian and Moroccan.
Stella Cutts: Your dessert has been prepared by Stella, a talented local baker passionate about finding the finest flavours, ingredients and style, continually searching for new aromas and spice combinations. Stella started selling her bakes when she realised that she was struggling to find cakes locally that were both as delicious and indulgent as she wanted them to be.
