About this Event
BAA (Businesses Against Abuse) is a scheme in which businesses across Cambridgeshire can prove themselves to be safe spaces for customers in need.
BAA Businesses are committed to challenging Violence Against Women and Girls and have a zero-tolerance policy on any person displaying predatory behaviour.
Businesses within the scheme make a commitment to being a safe space for all customers, in particular women and girls, and their staff are trained in spotting predatory behaviour.
The development of the accreditation has been funded by the Home Office’s Safer Streets scheme and aims to make women and girls feel safer in their communities.
BAA accredited businesses should serve as a place where violence, mysogeny and sexual offences are not tolerated.
BAA businesses are trained in:
• Spotting vulnerable situations
• Recognising predatory behaviour
• Helping customers who experience abuse and or Predatory behaviour
• Obtaining the required information for the emergency services
• Dealing with situations involving vulnerable people
• Forensic awareness
Each session is 2 and a half hours long
There will be a morning and afternoon session held (you only need to attend one)
