About this Event
Liverpool City Council’s Business Support Service has teamed up with LCR Horizons at Liverpool John Moores University to develop a workshop and tech demonstration designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to drive operational efficiencies and productivity into your business.
This workshop will be delivered by Jaan Scott from Matchbox Associates who are our specialist consultants focusing on lean and process improvement. Jaan helps our Liverpool businesses to improve operations within the constraints of their available resources, through bespoke support, with a goal to empower businesses to enhance productivity and efficiency to enable growth. Joining Jaan will be LJMU’s LCR Horizons digital experts who will provide demonstrations and guidance of cost-effective technology that can easily be adopted to support your improvement journey as well as the bespoke innovation support provided through the Horizons programme.
The event will introduce you to methodologies, skills and technology that could help you to:

- Improve productivity
- Improve quality
- Reduce waste
- Increase sustainability
- Increase competitiveness
From 9.30am-2.00pm, this workshop will be a mix of theory, hands on practical activity, case studies, demonstrators and how this can easily be digitised. A working lunch is included, with optional tours of LJMU's Digital Growth Innovation facilities.
This workshop is aimed at business owners, leadership or senior operational staff of eligible SMEs based in Liverpool Local Authority area. The content of this event is applicable to businesses in all sectors.

This workshop is delivered through the Business Support Service at Liverpool City Council which provides fully-funded support to existing businesses based in Liverpool and also to Liverpool residents looking to start-up a new business. This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead authority. .
