Business Model Canvas with AD:VENTURE

This event is open exclusively to Phase One members and University of York Enterprise students.

This session will be led by AD:VENTURE who will help you to better understand what Business Model Canvas is and how you can use it to ensure that your business delivers what your customers need in a profitable way. The tool helps you to illustrate 9 key elements of your business and ensure that you make the most effective business choices right from the start.

The Business Model Canvas is a really simple but versatile planning tool developed by Strategyzer to help simplify your business and identify:

• what your customers actually need
  
• who those customers are
  
• where you will find them and
  
• how you will build effective, lasting relationships with them.
  

All of this builds on your revenue stream to ensure that you will be making enough money to sustain and grow your business. We then move on to what you need in order to fulfil your customers needs, how you will do it and who you need to help you deliver.

These all build a picture of the cost of your business.

Once you have designed your Canvas you will work with it over time as the business develops and it can form the basis of your business plan if you want to develop a more in depth picture in order to apply for finance or to attract investors.
