This 4-week program starting on Saturday, February 8th, is designed for newcomers who are looking to explore self-employment or start a side business—whether you’re working part-time or full-time. You’ll learn essential business fundamentals, from entrepreneurial mindset, business models and operations to finance and marketing, through a mix of in-person workshops on Saturdays and online sessions on Tuesday nights. By the end, you’ll know how to create a solid business plan and have confidence to bring your venture to life in Canada.

Gain Practical Skills: Learn how to create a solid business plan that includes how your business will operate, important financial metrics, smart marketing strategies, and a catchy elevator pitch that makes people excited about your business.

Eligibility Criteria:
Status: Permanent Resident, Confirmed Refugee, CUAET
English Proficiency: LINC 5 or greater
Digital Literacy: Basic Computer Knowledge
Program Cost: Free for those who are eligible
Class Schedule - attend all 7 sessions from February 8th to March 8th to complete the program:
- In-person Workshops - Saturdays (10:00AM - 2:00PM) on Feb 8th,15th and Mar 1st, 8th
- Online Sessions - Tuesdays (6:30PM - 8:30 PM)on Feb 11th, 18th and 25th
- 1-on-1 Business Consultations by Appointment: Discuss your business ideas and questions with a Business Advisor.
