About the Host: Rose City Learning Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting adult immigrants and learners in Southeastern Connecticut. We offer career-aligned English classes and wraparound support services to help our students navigate barriers and succeed both in and out of the classroom. Many of our students were professionals—teachers, doctors, engineers, business owners—in their home countries. At RCLC, we help them build the language, skills, and confidence to pursue meaningful careers and thrive in their community.
We work closely with local community partners—including employers, healthcare providers, libraries, and other nonprofits—to connect our students with real-world opportunities, resources, and experiences. These collaborations allow us to offer career pathway support and access to services that extend beyond the classroom and into every aspect of our students’ lives.
