The course will be a one day course at our training site in Farnham. We deliberately
chose not to do it in a garage with a lift
because this wouldn’t be realistic for most.
The training will be provided by Mr Paul
Bass who used to own Challenger 4x4.
Paul has prepared, serviced and fixed
Gareth’s Land Rovers for over 7 years and
has over 40 years of experience fixing,
repairing, building and racing all things
Land Rover and 4x4. To keep costs low the
training will initially be offered in a group
setting with three vehicles at any one time.
Upon arrival at 0900am, you will be given
a short safety briefing and introduction,
teas and coffee etc. and an insight into
some of the normal things that you need
to know about your vehicle. With Paul’s
guidance, you will then check your vehicle
for commons faults prior to performing a
standard Land Rover 12K mile service
including; oil change, oil checks, filters,
brake checks, grease nipples and props
plus all the LR standard checks. We will
provide all the items you need for the
service including oils, filters & sundry
supplies and ramps.
Any major defects or parts required can be
supplied at additional cost, we will stock some
typical items that may be required like; wiper
blades, track rod end gaiters, brake pads, bulbs
and belts. We will also have on hand all the
tools required to perform the service, but we
do recommend you bring a basic tool kit with
you including; socket set, adjustable open
spanner, wheel nut wrench, bottle or trolley
jack, wheel brace/chock, latex mechanics
gloves and suitable clothing. We will provide
ground cover and if raining gazebo covers to
keep you dry. We recommend you wear
overalls and boots. Your vehicle must be road
worthy prior to arrival and known defects you
should advise in advance so we can
recommend action and bring parts if required.
The day will end around 1700pm.
The price for the training is £250 + VAT per
vehicle plus the following parts costs that are
specific to your vehicle; 200 TDI £74.10 + VAT
300 TDI £75.40 + VAT, TD5 £97.50 + VAT
TDCi £120.90 + VAT.
