Join Bury BID and The Met for the Festive Lantern Parade in Bury!Celebrate the magic of entering the festive season with a spectacular lantern parade through Bury town centre against a backdrop of festive sparkling lights. This year’s theme is “Flight”—a celebration of light, movement, and imagination that will lift your spirits as we journey from the heart of the town to an enchanting spectacle of fire sculptures in Kay Gardens.
The route: The parade will gather at The Met and then process up The Old Rock to The Rock Shopping Centre where it will pause on St John's Square before returning via the Mill Gate Shopping Centre and ending in Kay Gardens.
Whether you're crafting your own lantern, attending one of the Lantern Making workshops or simply soaking up the atmosphere, this is an fantastic community event for all ages to enjoy. Gather your family and friends, bring your lanterns, and let’s celebrate the beginning of the winter festive season.
