'Burst' showcases the latest collection of work by visual artist and sculptor Ana Carey. The exhibition will be opened by Bas Ashmawy. This exhibition delves into the delicate yet transcendent nature of the human form through a captivating blend of life drawing sculpture photography and abstract painting.

Drawing inspiration from renowned artists such as Picasso and Rodin she pays homage to Picasso's ability to fragment the human figure and highlights the innate beauty of the human form. Carey also draws influence from Rodin's innovative approach which defied traditional conventions of the time capturing motion emotions and psychological states with an exhilarating sense of dynamism.

Sculpture holds a special place in her practice where she molds clay giving life and form to her creations. In her sculpting process Carey reflects upon the human form relying on her own memories and knowledge rather than referencing external images. Music plays a vital role in her creative journey serving as a powerful influencer as she meticulously crafts unique interpretations through her sculptures.

Through her masterful use of line colour and form Carey strives to convey the emotional and psychological depths encapsulated within each human being. Her art captures the delicate balance between vulnerability and strength fragility and resilience inviting viewers to contemplate the mysteries and wonders of the human form.

'Burst' serves as a joyous celebration of life an ode to the strength of the human spirit and a reminder of the profound beauty and complexity of the human experience. Carey aims to inspire audiences to embrace their own humanity fostering a deep appreciation for the remarkable wonder embodied by the human form.

The exhibition signifies a forward-looking approach distinct from Carey's previous exhibition ‘UN/WELL' which delved into introspection and reflection. 'Burst' marks a significant development and growth in her artistic expression particularly in her abstract paintings characterised by vibrant colours and a light hearted reflection of the human body.

According to Carey the muse behind her artwork is intricately intertwined with the profound connection she establishes with the models she collaborates with. The personal bond between the artist and model informs and shapes the artwork serving as a driving force and source of motivation throughout her work.

With a lifelong fascination with the human form and its capacity for change Carey's new body of work manifests as a playful whisper of bold and vibrant colours.
