A celebration of the life of the poet Robert Burns.Building on the success of our fantastic Burns Night (this year, 1 night early) we are excited to present our third celebration, featuring an enhanced menu that captures the warmth and joy of our previous two events.
Burns Night pays tribute to the legendary Scottish poet Robert Burns, famed for penning the New Year’s anthem "Auld Lang Syne." Join us at The Wellington Hotel to honour his legacy with an evening of Scottish dancing, traditional bagpiping, a fine selection of Scotch, and more. With a Scottish owner and family at the helm, there’s no better place to experience this special occasion.
Our event will be held in our charming Victorian Villa, perched on the cliffs of Ventnor, offering breathtaking views of the English Channel. Enjoy the intimate atmosphere of our boutique bar, complete with a roaring log burner.
We are delighted to welcome the Caledonian Society for this special night.
Your admission includes:
-A three-course Burns Supper, featuring a traditional address to the haggis by an authentic Scot.
-A Scottish dance demonstration by the Caledonian Society.
-Live bagpiping performances by our own piper.
-A Scotch whisky tasting, showcasing our finest top-shelf selections.
*Please note that the menu is still being finalized as we refine our dishes to offer a truly hearty feast. Expect Scottish delicacies such as haggis, neeps & tatties, smoked Scottish salmon, and Dundee cake.
If you have any dietary requirements, please inform us in advance. This event will be held on a pre-order basis, and we will reach out for menu choices closer to the date.
This exclusive event is limited to 30 guests. Ages 18+ only.
Fri, Jan 24, 2025, 6:30 PM (evening before Burns Night).
