Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th January 2026
Join us for a fun weekend in celebration of the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns, and the shared bond between Donegal and Scotland. The Burns Supper is making a welcome return to its ‘home’ at Harvey’s Point as well as it is the twenty first year of this great event.
Men in kilts, a toast to the Haggis and a traditional Scottish Ceilidh are among the highlights of the 2026 ‘Burns Supper Weekend’!
The Burns Supper 2026 will take place on Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th of January 2026. Robert Burns (1759 – 1796) wrote over 300 songs and a variety of poems during his short life which will be celebrated throughout the weekend with music, song, poetry and oratory as well as a gala banquet on Saturday Evening featuring the traditional Scottish festive dish of haggis, neeps and tatties. Guests are encouraged to dress in the traditional tartan of Scotland and while kilts for the men are optional, they are worn by many. There is a prize for the best dressed Lady and Gentleman.
A five-course meal will then be served in the opulent surroundings of our Grand Ballroom overlooking Lough Eske. In keeping with tradition, the haggis will be accompanied by a ‘dram’ of Celtic whiskey.
A highlight of the evening is the ‘Address and Toast to the Haggis’. As one guest remarked at a previous supper: ‘If the idea of raising your glass to a sheep’s stomach filled with meat is confusing, it all makes sense once you’ve had a few glasses whiskey’!
Entertainment for the evening includes poetry, song and dance – some of Burn’s most famous songs and poems will be recited, then guests are invited to take to the floor for Scottish ceilidh dancing with the great Gary Blair Ceilidh Band.
The grand finale of the night will take place when everyone joins in singing Burn’s world-famous song– Auld Lang Syne – traditionally sung in Scotland and around the world, at the end of a festive gathering.
Tickets for the Burns Supper are €75pp and can be booked by calling our Reservations Team at +353-749722208.
