AUBURN FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS PARADE - BURNER ENTRYA FAMILY FRIENDLY GATHERING TO CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAYS
December 06, 2025 Parade begins 5:30 PM (ends about 7:30 PM)

Burner Theme: Christmas Tiny Tim and/or Scrooge! Or anything else (family friendly)!
Auburn Chamber Theme: Christmas Remembered
Location: Lincoln Way, Downtown Auburn, CA
Potluck 3:30 PM at our assigned staging location in Downtown Auburn!
*Entry Staging will be on Borland Ave OR High Street, Auburn, CA
*Note: Exact staging location / entry number TBA - when the Parade organizers send us the info - usually, a week before the parade (sometimes, sometimes later…).
WALKERS AND BIKES ARE WELCOME IN HOLIDAY COSTUMES & LIGHTS!

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Schedule:
3:30 PM: Come early to the staging area and bring finger foods and warm holiday drinks to share! (we will have tables and a tent set up) Bring your own cup!
5:00 PM: Be at our entry staging area dressed and ready for the start of the parade.
*Parade starts at 5:30 pm
5:30 PM: Parade begins. We will travel the route and finish at the Auburn Fairgrounds.
Costumes for all (walkers, bike riders, art cars): Lights are a must!
Ideas: Come dressed as Christmas Burners, Christmas Tiny Tim, Scrooge (steampunk)
OR ANYTHING ELSE holiday festive!
Walkers are asked to walk with flashlights please.
- DO bring out the warm coats and blankets as December is a bit chilly!
ART CAR INFORMATION:
Note: we currently have 7-8 art cars and space for a few more. If you are interested in bringing a small, medium sized art car we will need your information by NOVEMBER 07, 2025 (5 pm).

Art Car Schedule:
1:30-2:00 PM: Parade day, unload at the Auburn Fairgrounds back lot, add your xmas deco and/or add deco at the staging area.
2:30 PM: drive to the assigned parade staging, and be there by 3 pm
3:30 PM: Potluck and libations
5:30 PM: Parade starts
7:30 PM: Approximate Finish at the Auburn Fairgrounds back lot, load up and exit.
*Note: our entry number and exact location will be sent out 1 week prior

DJ, Dancing with the Burntown family!
Doors open at 7 pm, Cover at the door as a fundraiser for Burntown, $5.
Bring a snack to share!
Auburn Festival of Lights Parade Rules:
CHAIRS must be SECURED and supported for riders’ safety.
For safety and clean-up NOTHING may be thrown into the crowd or distributed along the parade route. No HANDBILLS, COUPONS, FLYERS, OR WRITTEN MATERIALS
Floats/Entries may NOT have a SANTA or MRS. CLAUS on or used in their floats/entries. Santa & Mrs. Claus are already in the parade.
All floats/entries with generators or mechanical devices using fuel are REQUIRED to have a fire extinguisher. Recommended 5lb 2A10BC.
Each entry must have at least two walkers with flashlights as safety guards. This is a safety issue.
All Entries must be lit.
Floats/entries that do not adhere to the guidelines/policies may be barred from participation in this and/or next year’s parade.
