Route
This is the route- a simple and elegant Burnaby loop.

Distance: 11km Elevation 451 m.
Gravel Non-technical route. Great for all sorts of running shoes.
1. Start at North Road/Pipeline Trail

2. Go on the Powerline Trail, until you reach the TransCanada trail.
3. Keep going north, until you reach Cougar Creek Trail/Barnet Trail, then go west.
4. Reach the Mountain Bike Skill Park (RED STAR), Carry west on the Mountain Air Trail
5. Reach the Velodrome Stairs and climb
6. At the top of the stairs, go east on Pandora Trail. Go past the the Centennial restaurant, and connect to the Trans Canada Trail
7. Go east on the Trans Canada Trail, until connecting to the Powerline Trail.
8. Go south on Powerline trail, until connecting to the Pipeline Trail.
9. Finish the loop at the North Road- Pipeline Trail
10. Repeat as need.
How many you do, it’s up to you! You may start at any times between the Start/End. You can play around for 36 hours.
Here is a breakdown of some options.
5 loops : 55km, 2255m gain
10 loops 110 km, 4510m of gain
15 loops: 165 km, 6765m of gain
Note: if going for the very long distances, some variations are acceptable as a way to reduce the elevation.
If familiar with the route, you may go clockwise or counter clockwise as you wish.
Water/Outhouse is available the Mountain Bike Skill park and the Horizon Restaurant.
Outhouse are available near the start
Additional services are available at SFU. Going off-course to go to SFU for Services will count as part of the distance.
