Contextual Handgun: Performance Shooting Development

PSD is a course designed to help you move to the next level in your performance shooting journey. Many of us have found motivation and personal meaning in pursuing not only competence, but excellence in performance shooting as it relates to personal protection. This course assumes basic familiarity with the need for relevant tools and skills for personal protection. We will endeavor to answer questions such as “What is good enough?” “What are relevant goals to my interests and opportunities?” “What specifically do I need to do to have an opportunity to accomplish these goals?” In this intense two day course the topics include but are not limited to: testing students current skill level, learning how to prepare for different sorts of tests and develop the skills necessary to defeat them, range and lifestyle safety, two handed and either handed concealed weapons access, two and either handed performance shooting, an overview of weapons malfunction clearance procedures, goal setting for skills development, dry fire best practices, alternative training methodologies, event preparation, rational equipment selection and a robust series of round table discussion with instructors and students to address their unique concerns and interests.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The only way we can know that a class will be run or is full is once the specified number of students have registered and paid their tuition fees. To avoid last minute class cancellation early sign-ups are STRONGLY encouraged.

Once a class is full, we have to turn away others who would like to attend. If you cancel too close to class, or fail to show up for class, you keep someone else from attending and cost us a student. Please be reasonably certain you can attend a class before signing up for it. We believe this policy is fair to you, to other students, and to us. In order to minimize this, we have strict policies on pre-payment and cancellation.

To secure a slot in a course full payment is required (unless otherwise specified). If a deposit is made, the balance will be due 30 days before the course starts. Cancellations by a student inside the 30-day window will be non-refundable but creditable to another offering of the same Citizens Defense Research class anywhere the student wishes to train, within 18 months of the cancellation. Cancellations by students the week of the course will be non-refundable and will credits will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Cancellations by Citizens Defense Research will be fully refunded within 15 business days.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
