Burial of Hospital Steward Byron Johnson, 11th Rhode Island Volunteers

Hospital Steward Byron Johnson of the 11th Rhode Island Volunteers served in the American Civil War from 1862 -1863 and died in Seattle Washington in 1913. His cremains were then forgotten about until this year when the Missing in America Project contacted the City of Pawtucket to bring HS Johnson home to Rhode Island. He will be buried in his family plot in Oak Grove Cemetery in Pawtucket Rhode Island. Please come and pay your respects to this true hero.
