One of the great delights of wandering through old burying grounds is reading epitaphs that offer clues to the thoughts and beliefs of a different time. How do these inscriptions convey long-departed Plymoutheans’ attitudes toward life and death? Dr. Anne Mason, Curator of Pilgrim Hall Museum, will lead this one-hour tour of Burial Hill, highlighting both commonly used and unusual epitaphs on 18th-century gravestones. Join the group at the very top of the Hill for this one-hour tour. This is the next tour in the ongoing Burial Hill Tour series presented by the Plymouth Antiquarian Society and Pilgrim Hall Museum. This year's theme is Revolutionary Connections, honoring the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. Tours are held on the first Saturday of each month (except January).
