We'll kick off the night with a twilight hike along Burchfield Park's River Trail, followed by a cozy gathering around the campfire. Astronomers from Abrams Planetarium will guide us through the cosmos with a telescope set up for night sky viewing. WHERE: We will meet at the Winter Sports Building
WHEN: 7pm on September 27, 2025
7pm: Night Hike
8pm: Marshmallow Roast and glow-in-the-dark-chalk
8:30pm: Night Sky Viewing with Abrams Planetarium
WHO: This is a free event, and all ages are welcome.
WHAT: You can feel free to bring your own viewing equipment if you'd like, as well as a flashlight. We have cellophane and red balloons to put over the light for a red hue - which is better for night sky viewing and helps your eyes stay adjusted to the night sky.
We look forward to seeing you outside for a relaxing evening in nature this Fall! However, in the event of rain, this will be canceled.
